Chris Gordon is a Managing Director at Bain Capital, a leading global private investment firm with approximately $75 billion in assets under management. He joined the firm in 1997. He has significant experience in private equity investing, with specialized focus in the healthcare sector and currently leads Bain Capital’s North American healthcare team. Since joining the firm in 1997, Mr. Gordon has been actively involved in and served on the Board of Directors for a wide spectrum of prominent healthcare companies in which Bain Capital has made investments. These businesses include HCA Inc. (NYSE: HCA), the world’s largest private-sector operator of acute care hospitals; Quintiles Transnational Corporation, the world’s leading provider of contract research and other services to the pharmaceutical sector; Air Medical Group Holdings, Inc., the largest independent provider of emergency air medical transport services; CRC Health Corporation, a leading provider of treatment and educational programs for adults and youth struggling with substance abuse and other behavioral issues; and Physio Control, Inc., the world’s leading provider of professional external defibrillators and other emergency medical response solutions. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Gordon was a consultant at Bain & Company. He is a founding Director of the Healthcare Private Equity Association. Mr. Gordon also volunteers his time and support to a variety of charitable organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Year Up – Boston, whose mission is to close the “Opportunity Divide” by providing urban young adults with the skills, experience, and support to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education. Mr. Gordon also serves as a member of the Trust Board of the Boston Medical Center. Mr. Gordon received an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College graduating magna cum laude and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School where he was Baker Scholar.
